For Kartik, a Metallica fan from San Francisco, his love for the band began when he was nine years old and has only grown stronger since then. Growing Up with Metallica in India Kartik was introduced to Metallica by a friend who was already a fan of heavy metal bands.
Kartik was hooked from the moment he heard the opening riff of "Enter Sandman." His love for the band grew stronger when he moved to Bangalore and started wearing Metallica shirts to show his support. Despite being told what to wear in high school, he rebelled in college and wore only Metallica shirts. Even though most of them were bootleg, he treasured them and still wears them to this day. He even created his own Metallica logo and pendant when he couldn't find them in India. The band's music and image were a big part of Kartik's life, and he cherished everything related to them.
Winning the One-of-a-Kind Metallica Guitar was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for Kartik.
