Steve Earle is one of my favorite songwriters. I wore out cassette tapes of "Guitar Town, I Feel Alright, and Transcendental Blues". All three wound up as brown bird's-nests of tape. He has to deal with much bigger problems than I ever had and continues to make music that is true and of the highest quality. His commitment to put a difficult problem, autism, out front to fight is admirable and indicative of his determination to try to make the world we survive in a better place for ourselves and for those who follow.
